Bollywood actress Celina Jaitley is so fascinated with the natural beauty of Arunachal Pradesh in Northeast of India that she has offered her services to serve the state as its envoy. She says she would be too happy in canvassing Arunachal Pradesh to domestic as well as foreign tourists. There is a great scope in the state for attracting all types of tourists. The state is very rich in its culture and completely fits the bill to be a world tourist centre, she adds. She wishes the state government to interact with the Centre and expedite its steps in this direction sooner than later.
During her recent visit to Arunachal Pradesh, even Congress president Mrs Sonia Gandhi, born and brought up in Europe, had expressed her great admiration for the natural beauty of Arunachal Pradesh. Incidentally, the state has attracted world attention during the last few months since Chinese Ambassador in India claimed that Arunachal Pradesh is a disputed territory and his country has a claim on the state's most beautiful hilltop Tawang. Though the government of India has refuted any such Chinese claim on Arunachal Pradesh and called it an integral part of India, the Chinese don't seem to be contented with it.
