Yesteryear's Film maker and Cinematographer Balu Mahendhra been in the arclights over four solid decades has consilated the Indian film industry winning 5 National awards for his successful contribution in Indian Cinema. 'The Guru of Indian cinema' will soon start an institute for films at Chennai and it will offer courses in acting, direction and cinematography.
Balu Mahendra graduated from Institute of Poona will direct the aspiring young film makers and wannabe actors to join his institute to teach them the technics of camera and art of film making. And the acting department will be taken care by Gopali the head of National School Drama(NSD). The institute is titled as 'Balu Mahendra Cinema Pattarai' which will be inaugrated by Celluloids of Tamil cinema big names like Kamal Hassan, Revathy and other experienced hands from South film Industry.
The innaugration will take place on Sep 7 2007. Great newz! indeed for all film buffs to learn the art from Guru.
