The movie periyar has been passed by the censors without a single cut. The film has got a ‘U’ certificate. There were apprehensions that the film may contain elements hurting the Hindu sentiments. But the censor has found nothing of that sort.
The film has got Rs.95 lakh grant from the State government.
The film also stars Kushboo, Jyothirmayi and the camera is cranked by Thangar Bachan. Music is by Vidyasagar.
The film is expected to release by March.
