After critically acclaimed E, jeeva's immense output as slum goer has touted him bankable star. Who dished out few complicated roles earlier, comes out here with perky outlook in the company of Pooja whom he is paired for the first time.
The Genre is about fatal incidents faced and handled by a person. Jeeva is the saviour who thinks "There is nothing unfair lying for good cause" while Pooja is straight and prim having mindset that "One should not go out of his way lying to rescue a person's life". When two ram against each other, firework erupts and the plot unfolds...
Following the golden words of his retired father(Nagesh),Jeeva runs a book stall for his daily earnings. Being happy and excelling well in buisiness, entry of stranger and rich man(Seeman), ruins Jeeva's buisiness fiercing confidence and his family is soon in the hands of the captives. Jeeva un-clog the torture of the gang's insufferable activities to save his family from the cluthes. He very soon learns the tactic to pay the notorious gangs in the same coin learning the lessons of Politics and pushing them into the pit. Now did he succeed or not? and what risks he under goes to gain back harmony? Forms the rest of the movie.
Director Subramaniyam Shiva falied to lure the audience as he did in his earlier movie "Thiruda Thirudi". He might have thought, screening a song like "Manmadha Rasa" alone would make the movie a big hit. The last song "Vedhalam" is picturized as same as "Manmadha Rasa" and even sound similar. The only difference is the costume. Here the pair dances with red attire.
Jeeva earning spurs as a kind of action hero with a rural tilt is full of energy. Infact this tough role has even more added spark to matured performnce. He walks away with aplomb playing loyal son, a prankster and lovable sweet heart to Pooja.
Pooja's lissome looks are treat to watch. While Director Seeman, Nagesh, and the rest fit the bill. Music by Dhina is average.
Overall, pori failed to spark despite having a strong story line.
Verdict : Onerous
